Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C, U13, 2018-2019 (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

On Saturday afternoon the Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C Stratford Aces played host to the Tillsonburg Lightning for game two of their best of three Western Ontario Girls Hockey League Championship series.  The Aces came into the game with their backs against the wall, having narrowly lost game one in Tillsonburg on Thursday night, and as the puck dropped they immediately put the pedal to the metal.  The Coaches’ pre-game speech had obviously sparked their competitive spirits; throughout the contest they won many battles, dominating puck possession, time in the offensive zone, shots on goal ...

The regular season was in the books and the Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C Stratford Aces’ season record of 41-14-5 earned them a spot in the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League Championship against the Tillsonburg Lightning.

On Sunday afternoon the Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C Stratford Aces travelled to Mitchell Arena to take on the Mitchell Meteors.  Although the Aces held the season advantage with wins over the Meteors, they knew they were in for a tough battle.

On Saturday afternoon, the Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C Stratford Aces welcomed the Lambton Attack to the RBC arena for a much anticipated contest.  Throughout the season these two teams had been evenly matched with most games being decided by a single goal.

On Wednesday, the Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C Stratford Aces played host to their season rivals, the Mitchell Meteors.  The Aces started the game with an aggressive forecheck that led to several scoring opportunities early in the first.  They kept the Meteors on their heels, effectively cycling the puck behind the net and making centering passes at key moments.  With 4:27 left in the first, Deirdre Parsons made good on her opportunity as she banged home the rebound, giving the Aces the early lead.
