Savelle ices Quarter-Final Win with first of the season!
In the Quarter-Final contest in Rochester the Aces played yet another strong team game. The result was a tidy 3-0 Aces win and a date with Peterborough in the Semi-Finals Sunday morning.
The Aces opened the scoring in the final minute into the game when Kayla Wieringa converted a Lauren Taylor pass into a beautiful goal to put the Aces up 1-0. The game remained that close on the scoreboard despite the Aces controlling the play until the third period.
In the third period the Aces added an insurance marker when Lauren Taylor scored unassisted. A great game played by the Aces defence who really controlled the pace of play and the flow of the game. The Aces finished the scoring late when Chelsea Savelle scored her first of the season assisted by Kennedy McGregor.
Kennedy Caldwell turned aside every shot thrown her way for the shutout.
