Alas it wasn't meant to be. After winning their first five games of the Rochester Fire on Ice Tournament the Aces fell to a very good Anaheim Ducks team in the finals 1-0. The Ducks had five powerplays to the Aces one and converted on their fourth powerplay of the second period for the games only goal.
The game was another good one for fans to watch and the Aces had their chances especially early but couldn't convert. Despite the loss the Aces played exceptionally well all tournament and should hold their heads high. The defence moved the puck well the goalies made key saves and balanced attack up front led the Aces to the silver medal.
The girls gave it their all and took a step forward as a group. 17-4-32.....that's how it is...that's how we play....that's how we like it! Congratulations on your silver medal and congratulations on the hunger to make it gold next time!
