A Battle of Two Goalies
Goalie, Mia Morris and her teammates, the Cooper Standard Bantam A Aces met a new opponent in the Woolwich Wild on Saturday afternoon.
The Wild were coming into town with a "0" in their losses column and the Aces knew it was going to be a battle!
The game started and both teams had many chances, back and forth! Mia Morris made save after save as the Wild put the pressure on. Our Aces had many chances of their own but just could not beat a hot Wild goalie at the other end! This game had a bit of everything...breakaways, two-on-ones, three-on-ones, penalty kills, power plays, glove saves and some lucky bounces! The only thing missing was a goal for the home team as the game ended in a 0-0 tie!
A great game to watch from beginning to end! We look forward to the rematch in a couple of weeks!
