First Playoff Game
The Cooper Standard Bantam A Aces started their playoff quest with a tie.
The team travelled to Teeswater on Sunday afternoon to take on Saugeen-Maitland Lightning. It was a very physical game but the girls showed a lot of grit and determination as they fought hard to keep the puck in the Lightning end. Carley Goos stood her ground as she stopped shot after shot to keep the Aces close. Saugeen struck first in the first period but with only 5 minutes left, Ella VanBakel slid the puck out from behind the Lightning net right on to the stick of Hailey Zurell who made no mistake and buried it between the pads of the Saugeen goalie!! A good start, to a tough series! Go Aces!!
