TFS P-BB headed west and east to earn four points this weekend
The Taylor Fluid Systems Aces headed west a Saturday afternoon to battle the second place team, South Huron Sabers. The game was anticipated to be a hard battle but the Aces were ready and took the bite out of the Sabers and ultimantely beating them 5-0. Ava Neumeister earned the shutout for the Aces displaying a sold and focused game making the saves when needed to keep the Aces in the game as well as earning the shutout. The defense had a stellar game keeping the Sabers to the outside of the ice and the shots to a minimum. Josephine Jarmuth had an excellent night scoring all five goals.

Jarmuth's first two goals were her patented shot from the dot beating the Sabers goalie high glove side. The third goal to was a sweet feed from Paige Campbell to Jarmuth who was behind the net. Jarmuth seen the open side and with a quick wrap around she got herself the hat trick. A couple minutes later Jarmuth received a pass again from Campbell, she took the puck wide to create a two on one; Jarmuth on the wide side had the option to pass or shoot; she took the shot to beat the goalie high blocker. The fifth goal was an offensive end battle. Olivia Van Straaten passed the puck from the point to Ella Taylor who made a quick pass to Jarmuth who skated across the crease to slide the puck into the back of the net. Well done Aces!

 

On Sunday the TFS Aces traveled east this time to battle the Guelph Gryphons in their home barn. The Aces used their momentum from the previous win against the Sabers as well as the Christmas party the night before to take the win 2-0. Sloan Cameron was between the pipes and as usual made the saves when needed to keep the Aces in the game and ultimately get the shutout. The defence had another great game moving the puck well to create as much offense as possible. The first goal of the game was scored by Katie Helson with a hard shot along the ice to beating the Gryphons goalie. Assists awarded to Aveleen Flood and Lauren Leis. The second was scored by Josephine Jarmuth, she took a shot from the slot beating the goalie glove side for the insurance goal. Excellent weekend Aces.
