TFS P-BB Beat the Heat for Provincial Playdowns
The Taylor Fluid Systems Aces battled Huron Heat in our home barn on Saturday for the second game of the Provincial playdowns; first game against the Heat. Ava Neumeister was between the pipes this game and as per her usual self, she played a fantastic game. Neumeister seen 18 shots throughout the game and stopped all but one fluky goal that spoiled her shutout with only three seconds left in the game.

But thankfully that was not a huge game changer for the Aces as they had a three-goal cushion by then. Scoring for the Aces started in the first period and with our first shot on net. After a flurry of shots on Neumeister the Aces defense cleared the puck up to the defensive blueline. Josephine Jarmuth picked up the puck and rushed down the right side of the boards, Jarmuth cut into the center of the ice just over the offensive blueline splitting the Heats defense and ripping a shot past the glove of the Heats goalie for the first goal of the game. The TFS Aces second goal transpired 40 seconds later off of a faceoff win the in offensive zone. Kara Rolph took the faceoff and won it back to Kyle Fifield who was at the point. Fifield shot the puck towards the net, the puck deflected off of Anne Nickel which created a rebound for Rolph to shoot home and give the Aces a two-goal lead and the eventual game winning goal. The third goal was early in the third period, Josephine Jarmuth won the faceoff towards Grace Laverty. Laverty grabbed the puck and took a shot towards the net that fooled the Heats goalie and found its way into the back of the net. The remainder of the period seen the Aces fight off some penalties and battle hard to not let the Heat gain any momentum for an end of the game push. The game ended 3-1 for the Aces. Excellent weekend of hockey Aces!!
