Aces first day at the Pink the Rink Tourny
The Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee BB girls played their first game of their first tournament of the season. The coaches suited up in their pink attire and ready to guide the Aces to a victory.

The first game was against Gloucester Stars; the score did not represent the dominance of this game as the Aces out shot the Starts 24 to 9. The Aces only goal scored by Josephine Jarmuth late in the second period. Josephine gained possession of the puck in the neutral zone from a tape to tape pass delivered by Olivia Van Straaten; skating the puck down the boards she muscled her way passed the Stars defence and took a hard shot from the offensive zone dot. The Stars goalie got her glove on it but the shot was too hard to handle and the puck bounces out over the glove and into the net to tie the game at one. The Stars first goal was a back door goal that Ava Neumeister had no chance on.  She was solid between the pipes the entire of the game. First game of the tournament ended in a 1-1 tie.

Game two was in the pm. The Taylor Fluid Systems Aces played the Etobicoke Dolphins.  The girls found their groove in the second and third periods. It was Sloan Cameron’s turn between the pipes and she didn’t make any mistakes, stopping all 17 shots that she faced. Lauren Leis started the scoring off late in the first with a sweet backhand during a scrum in front of the net, assisted by Kylie Fifield. The second goal was early in the third period. Another hard shot from Josephine Jarmuth created a rebound that Josie Walker tracked like a champ and buried the puck for the insurance goal. The Aces end the day with a 1-0-1 record. Good luck in the rest of the tournament Aces!!
