Aces cruise to victory over the Rock
The Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee C Stratford Aces took to the ice
against the St.Mary’s Rock at the Pyramid Recreation Center sporting a new look
line up. Taylor Neeb, starting at Center
for the first time this season, opened the scoring early in the first, as she
unloaded a blast from the dot that beat the Rock net-minder top shelf.
Throughout the game the Aces executed their breakout drill with precision, allowing them to effectively sustain an aggressive attack. Grace Laverty fired a shot that was tipped wide, Deirdre Parson’s shot from the circle was denied and Laura Sheldon missed short side as the Aces gained momentum.
New line mates Avery Faulhafer and Josie Walker each netted a goal in the contest and the Aces went on to defeat the Rock with a final score of 3-0.
The Aces travel to Exeter on Saturday to take on the South Huron Sabres at 2pm.
