Aces travel to compete in Woodstock Tournament
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice B Aces have traveled to the Woodstock this weekend for their first tournament after the Holidays.

Their first game started bright and early at 8 am against the Woodstock Wildcats. The Stratford Aces have not beaten the Wildcats in either of their two regulation games this year so the pressure was on.

The Aces came out strong with solid skating that did not waiver throughout the entire game. They shocked the Wildcats who didn’t recover and beat them 1-0. Sloan Cameron put on a great performance between the pipes earning her third shutout of the season. The first and only goal was scored by Emersyn Miller unassisted in the first period. Period 2 and 3 saw more attempts by Emersyn, Tessa Burdett and Eve Binns but nothing that found the back of the net.

Defense was key in this shutout win with solid support by Teresa Schuster and Rachael Barber.

Congratulations goes to Emersyn Miller for being voted game MVP by the Woodstock team and earning Ace of the Game.

Congratulations to Sloan Cameron for earning the Defensive Ace of the Game.

The Aces face off at 330 in Embro for the second game against the Brantford Ice Cats and again on Saturday in Woodstock against the Waterloo Ravens at Southwood Arena.
