Aces Win in Second Playoff Appearance
The Perth Auto Dismanters Novice C Aces battled hard and proved their skill with a solid 5-1 win over St. Thomas Panthers in their second game of playoffs.
St. Thomas started the game by keeping the Aces scoreless and scoring their own goal early in the first.
This wasn't enough to dampen the Aces though, who returned in the second as an energized team. Once the Aces opened the damn, it was hard for the Panthers to stop them. Five consecutive goals was the final outcome from the Aces, who carried this momentum to the end.
Olivia Rau scored the first on a spectacular pass from Stephanie Tsaltas, Tessa Burdett scored the next two, one on a pass from Katie Antonio and one on a breakaway from the opponents blue line. The final two goals were scored by Mckenzie Parsons with assists from Anne Nickel and Tessa.
Congratulations goes to Ella Taylor for earning the Coaches First Star Award for today's game. Great job Ella!
The Aces hit the road today to play the St. Marys Rock in their final Provincial Play down game. Join us at 12:00pm at the Pyramid Center.
