Annual Walter Gretzky Tournament - Day One
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice C Aces started off their weekend in Brantford on a good foot with a win over North Halton Twisters.

With a 10 am start the girls hit the ice ready to play. The first period came and went without a goal for
either team. Two minutes into the second Olivia Rau was able to score on a pass from McKenzie Parsons.
The Aces Aveleen Flood scored again three minutes later on a pass from Olivia Rau.
Entering into the third it was 2-0 for the Aces, two quick goals, one scored by McKenzie Parsons from Paige Campbell and the second by Aveleen Flood, from Tessa Burdett and Katie Antonio brought the score to 4-0. North Halton continued to battle though and the game ended at 4-2 for the Aces.

Congratulations to Aveleen Flood who earned the Game MVP and to Olivia Rau for earning the Coaches First Star award.

Game two for Friday saw the Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice C Aces against their long time rivals the South Huron Sabres.
The Aces were 1 for 5 against the Sabres this year and the girls, well aware of this fact, entered this game with determination. The action was fast paced and hectic,  Marta Rintoul and the entire Aces squad played a fantastic game but were not able to one up the Sabres. The game ended in a 2-1 loss for the Aces. The only goal scored by the Aces came in the third period with 6 attackers from Olivia Rau on a pass from Tessa Burdett and Julia McCann.

Congratulations to Marta Rintoul for earning the Game MVP and to McKenzie Parsons for earning the Coaches First Star Award.

Game three will see the Aces against the Lucan Irish today at 6:00 pm.
