Post Season – Play down weekend # 1
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice C Aces started their post season this weekend with two Provincial play down games. The Aces visited the South Huron Sabres in Exeter on Saturday and hosted the BCH Ice Dogs on Sunday.

Saturday’s game was a tough one for the Aces. The Aces fought hard but could not keep the Sabres at bay. The final score was 5 - 2, goals were scored for the Aces in the second period by Aveleen Flood, assisted by Mckenzie Parsons and in the third period unassisted by Olivia Rau.

Congratulations to Katie Antonio who earned the Coaches First Star for Saturday’s game.

On Sunday, at the RBC, the Aces faced off against the Ice Dogs, the game was fast and furious with solid defense exhibited on both sides. The Aces forward, Olivia Rau scored early in the first period on a pass from Lila Mortimer and Mckenzie Parsons. The rest of the first, all of the second and most of the third were scoreless with the Aces and Ice Dogs battling back and forth. The Ice Dogs tied it up with only 1:27 left in the third.  With so little time left, the Aces put 6 players on the ice and the action was intense but the Aces couldn’t convert. The game ended in a 1 – 1 tie.

Congratulations to Kenleigh Soper who earned the Coaches First Start for Sunday’s game.

Join the Aces on Saturday Feb 13th where they face the St. Marys Rock at the Rotary Center – Molson Pad @ 12:30.
