Peewee C Aces win 2-0 against South Huron
The Aces braved the winter weather today to travel to Exeter for a game against South Huron. The Aces played an aggressive game from start to finish and controlled the play for most of the game.
Laura opened the scoring by knocking in a rebound after a great play by Cassie to get to a loose puck and get a shot on net.
The Aces second goal was a result of a good breakout pass from Abby that led to a 2 on 1. After Katelynn took the original shot, Deirdre battled hard for a rebound chance that was stopped but bounced back to Katelynn, who buried it into the open net.
Other notable performances were some great shots from the slot by Cassidy, a lot of great offensive zones passes by Abby and an overall aggressive effort from Paige. The defensive pair of Peyton V and Peyton B did a good job of communicating and moving the puck up the ice and Peyton V in particular controlled the play and displayed poise and confidence with the puck.
The Aces travel to St Mary's tomorrow for another tough matchup.
