The Stratford Referee Association will be be running an on-ice clinic Thursday September 12th from 4:00 - 5:00pm @ the RBC arena with a talk from Alliance Hockey following the skate.

Former Stratford Referee Association members and current NHL officials Tyson Baker, Devin Berg and Steve Miller will be on the ice and will be presenting the officials with a perspective of being an NHL official and how to succeed at a high level in the officiating ranks.

This skate is “FREE” of charge ...we would like to invite all hockey players female or male over the age of 14 who would be interested in officiating this coming hockey season.

Rowan’s Law legislation came into effect on July 1, 2019. Rowan’s Law legislation was passed by the Ontario Government in 2018. This legislation is named in memory of Rowan Stringer who tragically died in 2013 of Second Impact Syndrome, the result of suffering multiple concussions. Rowan’s Law is applicable to 65 sports in Ontario as well as educational institutions.  The legislation requires players, parents, coaches, match officials and trainers  to review and sign off on the Ontario Ministry’s Concussion Awareness Resources. All players and parents are requested to read the information at the following link Rowans Law Information
