Aces Deal Themselves Back To Back Shutouts On The Road
On Saturday December 2, the Sommers Generator Systems Atom A Aces earned back to back shutouts downing the Kitchener Lady Rangers 4-0 at the Sportsworld Arena in Kitchener.

The Kitchener Lady Rangers were unable to solve the "run and gun" defensive play and the solid goaltending of the Stratford Aces on Saturday as the Aces handcuffed the Rangers 4-0.
Skylar Fadelle opened up the scoring on a rush beating the Ranger goalie with a laser beam from the slot. Assists went to Kiara McGregor and Olivia VanStraaten. With less than a minute to go in the first, Charlee Gethke hit Olivia Rau with a saucer pass to spring her down the ice. Rau fired a hard wrister beating the goalie low glove to make it 2-0. In the second period the aces defensive pairings of Katie Antonio and Ella Boersma, Olivia VanStraaten and Rylee Nethercott, Hannah Mogk and Charlee Gethke were putting on a clinic holding the Lady Rangers to only two shots on net. In the third period Kenleigh Soper got the crowd roaring, scoring a couple beauties with assists coming from Fadelle and Victoria Campbell on her first goal and Campbell and Antonio on her second goal. Impressive goaltending by Grace Kipfer earned her back to back shutouts as the Lady Rangers shots were met with her hot glove hand on several occasions.
The Aces are getting out their hard hats and work boots and going right back to work with a couple practices this week to get ready for the Guelph tournament next weekend as they are seeking a little redemption from the pesky Niagara Falls Rapids.
Good luck next weekend ladies!!
