Aces Trump Devilettes
Last Saturday the Sommers Generator Systems Atom Aces headed out on the highway to London to face the Devilettes. The Aces were eager to finish off the month of November on a high note and took to the ice in fine form shutting out London 4-0.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon at the Kinsmen arena in London as the aces shuffled in. The girls were well rested as it was the only game on the weekend and it showed the minute they hit the ice. Superfan Derek Fadelle commented, "You could tell that they had something up their sleeve for those Devilettes by the way the warm up on the ice went prior to the game!" Tessa Burdett got the Aces on the scoreboard right away as she banged in a rebound from a bullet of a shot by Aveleen Flood that the Devilette goalie could not handle. The aces would then deal up 3 more goals in the second period. The first of three Burdett won the draw back to Floody for a shot that the goalie set aside but McKenzie Parsons somehow muscled the puck away from two Devilettes in the corner to walk out and bury it to the back of the net. Two minutes later Kiara McGregor had a fabulous wrap around patiently waiting out the goalie and sniping top shelf. With 1:04 remaining in the second period the Aces forwards were buzzing all around the net and when the puck found its way to the stick of Skylar Fadelle, she made no mistake and fired that biscuit to the back of the net with authority. The third period London battled back and the stellar defence of the Stratford Aces broke up several Devilette attacks keeping them to the outside and punishing them in the corners. The Devilettes were unable to solve the magnificent goaltending of Grace Kipfer, a.k.a. Genie Potuato, as she turned away every shot London fired at her for the shutout.

The Sommers Generator Systems Atom Aces had another successful road trip to finish off the month of November. They are headed back to work this week with a couple practices to gear up for Saturday morning tilt with the Kitchener Lady Rangers at the Sportsworld Arena in Kitchener.

Good Luck Ladies!!
