The Dunny Peewee Aces just didn't have the finishing touch or their 'A' game on Sunday October 16 in London. Despite outshooting the London squad quality chances and speed were lacking and the London team took advantage of a miscue to score the lone goal of the game in a 1-0 defeat of the Aces.
For a team that had been playing well the rails seemed to fall off in that London game. It carried over to the October 22 game against the Sarnia Lady Sting who came out with a vengeance against an Aces team that beat them 3-0 earlier in the campaign. A seemingly fragile group of ladies fought the puck and chased the game but thanks to great goaltending from Paige Willie salvaged a 0-0 tie.
Adversity, slumps are all part of a season and the Ace girls will look to right the ship in Lakeshore on Sunday against the first place Lightning.
