The Novice B Perth Auto Dismantlers were
back in action on Sunday October 23rd in the second of a home and
home series with the Wilmot Wolverines. After taking game one with a strong
performance the Aces were in Wolverine territory and they were hungry for redemption.
This game was action packed with offensive flurries happening at both ends of
the rink. Although the girls played well, they were chasing a three goal
deficit starting the third period. With some great puck movement, Tessa Burdett
opened the scoring with a beautiful assist from Abby Iacobellis bringing the
game within two. After several great opportunities, Eve Binns put the second Aces
goal behind the Wolverine’s goalie with just under a minute left with the
assist coming from Paige Campbell.

Cue the most exciting last minute of hockey for the Aces to date. After playing well in the net for the entire game, goalie Marta Rintoul was taken out giving the girls a woman advantage. Although the Novices pressed hard they could not capitalize on the opportunity and lost 3-2.
