Stratford 4 - London 4
The Stratford Accumetal Bantam A Aces earned a hard-fought tie with the London Devilettes at the Stronach Arena on Tuesday night.

Call-up player Marissa Van der Ploeg played a strong game and got things going for the Aces. Van der Ploeg's goal, assisted by Madi Smith, erased an early London lead. Unfortunately, two quick goals at the end of the first put the Devilettes up 3 to 1 after 1.

There was no additional scoring until after the flood at the end of the second period. The Aces scored the next three goals to take the lead with 5 minutes to go. Stacey Shackleton scored the first, again assisted by Smith. Joanna Van De Walle tied the game from Brooklyn Rau and Kenzie Dietrich. Smith then added a goal of her own from Shackleton and Abby Gilchrist to take the lead. London added an equalizer with 4 minutes left in the game. Rau appeared to have a go-ahead goal later in the third but the goal was disallowed as the puck was ruled to have crossed the line after the referee's whistle had sounded.

Overcoming the early 3 to 1 deficit to earn a tie against this tough London team was a great team effort.
