What better way to start the New Year than a home game against an undefeated team? That's exactly what the Stratford Accumetal Bantam A Aces did on Sunday afternoon at the RBC Arena against the London '01 Devilettes.
Stratford netminder Megan Arnold backstopped the Aces for two full periods of scoreless hockey. London eventually broke the deadlock on a slapshot through a crowd from the blueline in the third. Arnold got a piece of it but not quite enough to redirect it out of harms way.
London went on to add an empty-netter to win 2 to 0 and run their record to 15-0-0

Stratford showed no signs of rust after 12 days off through turkey season and were never out of this game.
The Bantam A Aces are currently in 4th place in their division with a 7-6-5 record with 4 games remaining in the regular season. It's tough sledding ahead with 3 of those 4 being against teams ahead of them in the standings.
