Stratford Egg Farmers Atom A Aces Get First Win
The Stratford Egg Farmers Atom A Aces played
at home on Saturday night earning their first win of the season over the Guelph
Jr. Gryphons. Near the end of the first period, Brooklyn Chadwick just missed
on a scoring opportunity that seemed to ignite a fire under the Aces. Hungry
for a goal, the girls started the second period with a chip on their shoulders.
After a couple of good offensive shifts, wingers Avery Nickel and Clara
Schuster each scored on consecutive shifts. The third period was just as exciting
as the second as the Gryphons scored early making keeping them in striking
distance. For the remainder of the game, the defensive play of Belle Houle,
Hailey Scott, Meghan Bach and Jacklyn Hettinga kept the opposition at bay
ensuring a victory.
