New Season
After a excellent 2 - 2 showing in our Stratford Tournament we just missed making the finals by 1 point. The Nutrition House Atom C team found an opportunity to move to a more competitive league. The Atom C group was in tough with teams in the Lower Lakes League this season with a record of 0-7 being out scored 40 - 4.
The Atom C was welcomed by the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League. The Atom C team had played four games in two tournaments against teams from this league which were all close and competitive. After some difficulty the move was a success and we are now playing in a league which is competitive for the girls and they can now play with the puck and make plays.
After four games in the new league we have a 3-1 record with three 1-0 wins. Its apparent that this is the league we belong in as any team could beat anyone any night. It is such a relief to finally see our girls able to compete with other teams having a chance to win every night.
It was a lot of work in a short period to get the move done but it has been excellent and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would like to thank the parents and executive for supporting the Atom C girls. We look forward to having a successful second half of the season.
