Saturday afternoon Stratford had just one game vs Ilderton. The Aces had everything working winning 7-0. Ella Wouters had the shutout with Blowes & Clarke each scoring hat tricks and Nash added one. Assists went to Nash with one & Dietrich, Pitts & Bogdon with two each. Neely Clarke was awarded player of the game. This win moved Stratford into the semi final Sunday morning @ 7:15am. Strong efforts were put in by Natalie Dinsmore and sisters Jesse & Victoria Hahn with numerous offensive chances, but they just couldn't buy one.

Sunday morning the Aces left town bright and early @ 5:30am for the semi final. The Aces played Tilsonburg and pulled out a 1-0 victory to move on to the final. Stratford's goal scorer was Rachel Nash who scored un assisted on a great rush up ice in the first period. Meagan Arnold posted the shutout and was excellent in net especially in the last three minutes when Tilsonburg had their goalie pulled and had Stratford on their heels scrambling to clear the puck. Kaeley Dunseith was awarded player of the game.

Sunday afternoon had Stratford vs Windsor in the final. Stratford played their best game of the weekend but came out on the losing end 2-1 to take home a silver medal. Windsor's goalie played very well as Stratford sent 21 shots her way in the 32 minute game. Windsor took a 1-0 lead in the second period and carried that lead heading into the third. Two minutes into the third Blowes was pulled down on a break away and awarded a penalty shot. Blowes made no mistake with a fabulous move scoring to tie the game 1-1. With six minutes left in the third Windsor jumped on a loose puck in the slot and scored the game winner. Stratford continued to have chance after chance to tie but just couldn't get one past the Windsor tender. Jessica Blowes was awarded the player of the game.

Congratulations to each and every Atom C Ace!! You all played excellent throughout the entire weekend and deserved better.

The Atom C Aces now move into playoffs with OWHA playdowns beginning this Friday vs Teeswater.
