Peewee C Aces lose another close game 2-1
The Aces put in a good effort but a late third period goal by St Marys decided the game.

The Aces started the game looking a little sluggish and sloppy but by the end of the first period were able to get their legs moving. The Aces attempted to pressure the puck against a big, strong St Marys team. Both teams exchanged good scoring chances early on.

The Aces got on the board first with a great individual effort by Katelynn, who rushed the puck, got by the St Marys defender and scored on a well-placed shot over the goalie's glove. St Marys tied the game on a goalmouth scramble midway through the second period.

A defensive lapse late in the third allowed the St Marys forward to break across the front of the net and despite a save on the initial shot, she was able to bang home the rebound.

The Aces should be proud of a solid effort again today and we identified some areas to work on at practice over the next few weeks.

Our next games are in Etobicoke next weekend at the Pink the Rink tournament where we look forward to having our full lineup for the first time this season.
