Flanagan Shines by Cooling Inferno
MVP Hat trick for Flanagan and Heroic Goal Line Save for Cameron put Aces back in Win Column

Submitted by Meg Smith - Many Thanks

The Kinsmen Novice C Aces traveled to Ingersoll on Saturday to face the West Oxford Inferno for the first time. A well rested squad put four unanswered goals on the board over two periods of play to bolster net minder Ava Langis. Reese Flanagan's hat Trick earned her game MVP honours. Many scoring opportunities were created by Charlee MacFarlane and Gianna Nickel. The offensive push was completed by Katie Wheal and Jule Cameron. Reminiscent of a recent world junior highlighted goal line save, Cameron made a goal line save for Langis but then took the puck for a breakaway goal at the other end!
While the inferno came on strong in the third, netting two of their own, consistent strong defensive work of Adele Helson, Avery Stokes, Brinlee Wall and Maeve Moss held the inferno at bay. An insurance goal in the third from Flanagan gave her the hat trick and ended the Aces 2017 campaign on a winning note and keeping the girls firmly in 2nd place in their division 2 points behind division leaders and rivals the BAD Blazers who hold the top with 14 points.  The girls head to Woodstock for their annual tourney this weekend and then start a 4 game regular season home stand.
