Another Weekend of Hockey
The Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces traveled to London to revisit the Devilettes and host the Sarnia Lady Sting for the first time this season on Sunday.

The Atom B Aces traveled to London on Saturday this weekend to revisit the London Devilettes for the second time in 2 weeks.

The game was intense with no goals in the first period. London was first on the board in the second but Stratford answered that goal with their own 20 seconds later. Stephanie Tsaltas scored assisted by Abby Iacobellis and Lila Mortimer. Our girls buckled down and put on a performance in the third that is the thing movies are made of!

London pulled ahead at 1:52 of the third with another goal and put the Aces against the ropes. The last 30 seconds of the period was spent in front of the Devilettes net with 6 Taylor Fluid Systems Aces not willing to back down. Shot after shot was sent at the London net minder. Finally Devan Taylor assisted by Katie Helson and Deirdre Parsons, found the hole! The Referee blew the whistle to indicate the goal just as the final buzzer sounded!

The coaches all told me that this was the best period of hockey the girls have had so far. They are proud of the hard work and grit. Keep it up girls.

On Sunday the Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces hosted Sarnia Lady Sting for the first time.

The Lady Sting took a commanding 2-0 lead in the first. The Aces returned the favour and took the second back from them to end it in a 2-2 tie. The first goal was scored by Paige Campbell, assisted by Bronwyn Hawkins at the start of the second period. Lila Mortimer snipped a hard shot 3 mins later assisted by Devan Taylor and Paige Campbell. The third saw another 2 goals by the Lady Sting to find the fame with a 4-2 loss for the Aces.

The Aces travel to Waterloo next weekend to compete in the Ravens Tournament. Schedule is posted. Drop in and cheer our hardworking hockey greats this weekend if you can.
