The Stratford Peewee BB Aces started their first round of LLFHL Playoffs on Sunday February 12 2017.
Game #1 puck drop took place at 1:30 pm on home ice Sunday February 12th. The Aces fought a hard battle against the BAD Girls Blazers. The entire game was evenly played and was going to go either way. During the second period one of the Blazers snuck a rebound goal past goalie Courtney Lott. The Aces kept on going and couldn’t manage to sneak one past the Blazers goalie. With 1:30 left in the third Lott was pulled from between the pipes and the Aces played a 6-5 trying to crash one into the net. One of the Aces passed a puck out to Center-man Olivia Chartrand in the slot and she ended up tying up the game with 18 seconds left! The final buzzer went and the Aces took the tie!
Game #2 took place in Dorchester Monday February 13th at 7:00pm in Dorchester. The Aces were all over the Blazers offensively but couldn’t manage to sneak one by the Blazers solid goal tender. Our defense had a strong game and prevented the Blazers from many chances in our zone. Special shout out to goalie Courtney “Carey Price” Lott who has been doing some great pad and stick work, rebound control and has been monumental between the pipes! With a 0-0 score the Aces took the tie!
Game # 3 is taking place in Dorchester on Wednesday February 15. Puck drop is at 8:00 pm. Going into a do or die hockey game, the coaching staff wishes the girls all the best! Go Aces Go!
