Thanks for the memories
The Atom A Aces traveled to the provincials this weekend. They showed us teamwork, constant pressure and the pride that makes them Aces.
An early Friday morning game had them against North Bay. They came at us hard and started the scoring but that was the wake up call we needed. Great puck movement and our endless glove saves ended with a 5-3 victory. Sienna Wildgust made plenty of great saves. Goal scorers were Autumn Mikel and Aveleen Flood each getting 2 and Olivia Rau scoring 1. Assisting was Olivia Rau 2, Shauna Everett 2, Clara Leduc and Hannah Mogk. Game 2 on Friday put them against Whitby. A hard fought penalty filled game ended in a 2-1 loss. It was a solid defensive game that Mia Morris made some great saves. Olivia Rau's constant pressure earned her the loan goal with Alia Poirier getting the assist. The Aces 3rd game was a battle with Brampton and both teams put on a show ending in a 3-2 loss. Sienna Wildgust once again made some brilliant saves. Kiara McGregor and Autumn Mikel had the goals which were assisted by McKenzie Parsons, Addisyn Reinecker and Kiara McGregor.
Goalies, Defense, Offence and Coaches it is obvious why you are all ACES. The high performance work ethic on and off the ice was recognized by each and everyone of your fans. While it may be sad to have an amazing year end it is proud to see who you have become. Thank you girls for an amazing year. ACES FOREVER FRIENDS FOR LIFE.
