Aces playoffs games
This weekend the Ontario Egg Farmers Stratford Atom A Aces played 2 first round playoff games.
On Saturday they started the playoffs at home versus the Guelph Gryphons. A second period goal put the Aces down but they battled back and scored a third period goal which ended with a 1-1 tie. Mia Morris kept the Aces in the game with plenty of great saves. Autumn Mikel constant pressure led to her getting the loan goal with Ella Van Bakels hard work getting her another assist. On Sunday the girls traveled through nasty weather to Guelph. The Aces took a hard 4-1 loss but didn't get down on themselves and skated hard till the final buzzer. Olivia Rau quick shot got the Aces there only goal which was unassisted. This leaves them in a must win game in Guelph on Wednesday. These girls never back down when the pressure is on and either way will show what skill they have as a team.
