Atom BB's Get Crackin'
The Stratford Egg Farmers of Ontario Atom BB hockey club headed to Waterloo on Monday, February 2, 2015 for game one of the first round of the LLFHL playoffs.
The Aces and Ravens were fairly evenly matched for the first period of play and ended with zeros still on the board. The second and third periods proved to be the difference as the Aces used their speed and great defensive play to secure a well deserved 4-0 win. The Aces scoring started off with a second period shorthanded goal by Avery Wildgust with the assist going to Reese Reinecker. This goal was the positive momentum that the team needed and they added three more goals before the final buzzer. Scoring plays were: Lauren Taylor from Chelsea Savelle, Wildgust from Lauren Gibb and Madison Cardno from Lauren Taylor. Ace's goaltender Courtney Lott was between the pipes and earned the shut-out. Game two of the series is at home this Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the RBC - game time 1:00PM.
