Stratford Midget #1 lost a close match on Sunday afternoon 3 to 2. at home versus Waterloo Ravens #1. Nicole McIntosh opened the scoring for Stratford in the first with assists going to Mallory Petrie and Hannah Nemeth. Waterloo tied it up a minutes later and then added another one when Stratford was shorthanded. 1 more quick one to end the period put Waterloo up by 2. The teams were evenly matched in the second with no scoring. 3 minutes into the third Mallory took a pass from Simone Flynn a sent a laser of a shot past the Waterloo net minder. Stratford pulled the goalie in the last minute of play to try and draw even but ran out of time. Ashley Leu played a strong game in net for Stratford and kept the game close.
