Stratford Girls Midget HL #1 team played their first game of the season on Sunday afternoon at Dufferin Arena. The loss of 7-0 versus Cambridge Roadrunners #1 was not what they had wanted. The score was not indicative of the play. After one period Cambridge led by 1. Two periods of play had Stratford still in it down by 3. The final 5 minutes saw Cambridge blow the game wide open with 4 goals. It was a clean fought match with no penalties. Jessica Wynne of Stratford left the game in between the second and third after a strong clean check put her out of commission. Elizabeth Drake played a strong game on defense for Stratford.
