Stratford Best Western the Parlour was dealt a loss on a tightly fought contest Sunday afternoon by first place Kitchener Mustangs. Two minutes into the game Best western needed to kill off a hooking penalty. Mallory Petrie score during the shorthanded situation with help from Jillian Andress. Near the end of the period Kitchener tied it up. Best Western went ahead again early in the second when Hannah Nemeth back handed a shot under the Kitchener netminder. Jillian and Talyor Hotson assisted. The end of the second saw a fluury of activity. With 2 minutes left in the period Kitchener was short handed due to a cross checking penalty. The top Kitchener player scored 2 quick goals with a minute left to get them ahead by one. Best Western drew even again when Hannah scored her second of the game with help from Mallory. Kitchener scored with 13 seconds left in the period to go ahead for good. Two minutes into the third Kitchener was awarded a penalty shot on an infraction during a breakaway. They scored on teh penalty shot. The game got rahter chippy then with Kitchener drawing a tripping penalty and then a 10 minute unsportsmanlike from their best player. Stratford was unable to draw any closer on teh ensueing 2 minute powerplay. Substitude goalie Shaina Ecclestone was peppered with shots and played  fantastic for Best Western.
This was the last regular season game for Stratford Best Western. They currently stand fourth in Pool A of the league standings. The top 4 teams go onto the playoffs. Stratford now has to wait while other teams finsh their schedules to find out if they have made the playoffs.
