Bantam A's Four Point Weekend
The Stratford Aces, Bantam A's took game 1 & 2 in their best of 5 provincial playdown series against regional rival Owen Sound Ice Hawks.
On Sunday Stratford controlled much of the game clinching a 4 - 2 victory. Clodagh Weber scored twice with Jocelyn Ballantyne and Anna Mohr earning one apiece. Paige Bryn, Erin Kuepfer and Weber had assists in the match. Aliya McNeil was solid in net for the Aces. On Saturday the Aces took advantage of an undisciplined Ice Hawk club scoring on two power play opportunites, winning the game 2 - 1. Leah Matthews evened the score late in the first period with a point shot off of a pass from Grace Fountain. Alicia Hartung did likewise ninety seconds later on another shot from the point off of a feed from Liv Charette.
