Novice Timbit 2's Head to Playoffs Undefeated. On Sunday, Novice Timbit 2's beat Ayr Rockets in a 2 - 1 squeaker to finish the second half of their season. Ayr jumped to a 1-0 lead off a quick scramble in front ofthe Stratford net. The game went back and forth for several minutes until 6:19 of the second period when Meg Feore struck the far corner of the Ayr net with a blast from the point. After that, the Timbit 2's disciplined position taking began to dominate the game. Despite the commanding play by the Timbit's the Ayr goalie refused to let anything by.  The Timbits remained patient until finally at the 3:21 mark of the third, Sammy Orr fed Olivia Watts with a pass that Watts tucked neatly over a sprawling Ayr goalie. Ayr however, did not give up and with just 5 seconds left in the game they managed to get a breakaway. With nerves or steal, Keira Akey calmly came out of the house and dropped the pads on a five hole shot from the Ayr player deflecting the puck to corner as the buzzer blew. A great game was played by all the girls and once again thoroughly enjoyed by all parents.
