Schedule & Results, Best Western The Parlour Bantam HL, 2012-2013, A (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

The Best Western – Parlor bantam house league Aces competed this past weekend in the South-Point Stars Tournament in Leamington and ended up with one tie and two losses. On Friday the Aces played Windsor team 2 and after 2 scoreless periods Windsor found the back of the net with 5:27 left in the game to win the game 1-0. Saturday morning the Aces faced off against Lakeshore Blue and came away with a tie at 0. Stratford battled hard throughout the game and created numerous chances but could not beat the Lakeshore goalie. With Stratford’s goaltender out with an injury for the tournament, pick up goaltender Jenna Carrick from LaSalle earned game MVP for both the Windsor and Lakeshore games. Saturday afternoon the aces played against Essex team Orange. The Aces battled hard and came close to scoring many times. Tenacious for-checking and strong back-checking held Essex off the score sheet until 1:35 left of the second period. Essex scored 2 more unanswered goals in the 3rd. Brooke DeYoung earned game MVP for the Aces. With the season done for the year the coaching staff would like to congratulate team members Natalie Dale, Nicole Macintosh, Jessica Wynne , Katie Ganselves, Hannah Nemeth, Janelle Gras, Jillian Andress, Brianna Patterson, Emily Stephan, Maddie Daum, Fraser Tamas, Brooke DeYoung, Taylor Hotson and goaltender Brittany Johnston for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
