Peewee A's continue to win
Dunny’s Source for Sports Peewee A Aces entertained the 5th place Lucan Irish Sunday at the William Allman Arena. Stratford jumped out to an early 2 goal lead on a pair of goals from Kelsey Dixon with Alexa Horne drawing an assist on the first goal.
Lucan answered back in the second period with two straight goals tying the game at the 7:31mark. The lead was short lived with Stratford taking the lead less than 30 seconds later on a goal from Jocelyn Ballantyne with the assist going to Carly Wouters. Lucan drew even with less than a minute and a half to play in the second period and that is the way the score would remain until Courtney Simpson proved that nothing bad can happen when you put the puck on net, and with .6 seconds to play in the third she put Stratford ahead for the win, with Kaitlyn Mathieson getting the assist. Tessa Deighton and Megan Rauser had strong games defensively for Stratford helping Rylee Kaufman record the win.
