Notes
The Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee Girls tamed the Wildcats during their Saturday matinee with a 3-0 victory. Again, the goal tending was stellar to say the least. Both Sloan Cameron and Ava Neumeister were unbeatable between the pipes. Not to take kudos away from the defense who kept the shots to a minimum and cleared the Cats out from in front of the net. Not only did Grace Laverty play some awesome D she also popped the first goal and eventual game winner with a beauty shot from the blue line that had eyes to find the back of the net. Laverty would not have had the chance to shot if it wasn’t for Katie Helson’s hard work in the corner, winning the battle and feeding Laverty for the eventual goal. Aces 1 Cats 0 to end the first. A couple minutes into the second Ella Taylor added some insurance to the Aces’ lead. Taylor didn’t give up battling for the puck in front of the net; found a small opening between the post and the goalie to sneak one home to go up two. This was the first of a couple points for Taylor. The third period was a back and forth period with chances at both ends. Paige Campbell had enough and with a sweet feed from E. Taylor, Paige took the puck behind the net and wrapped the puck around which was quicker than the reflexes of the Cats’ goalie to get the Aces their third goal and some breathing room to finish the game.
