Morris and Goos Lead Peewee A Team
The goalie tandem of Mia Morris and Carley Goos have let in a combined total of only 4 goals over 6 games leading the Sommers Generator Systems Peewee A team to a first place tie in their league.

Two games were on tap for the weekend and a Friday night road trip to Aylmer to play the St. Thomas Panthers was up first! The girls won 2-0, with the shut out recorded by Carley.  The Aces spent most of the game hanging around the Panther’s goalie trying their best to shove that puck in! The first period saw a few goal posts and some good glove saves by the Panther goalie to keep our girls at bay! Finally in the second, Sadie sent a pass out from behind the net to Kiara who made no mistake and put us on the board! In the third, Olivia made a great move on their defence and rifled one into the top corner!! Another win for the Aces! Great game, girls!

The second game of the weekend meant a long drive down the 401 to take on the Lakeshore Lightning. The girls had a good warm-up outside and were ready to play when the puck was dropped. The first goal was scored by Kiara on a nice pass from Sadie! Lakeshore responded soon after with one of their own to tie it at one. With three minutes left in the first, Clara put one past the Lightning goalie to put us up 2-1. The second period was scoreless and so was most of the third period. With a minute and a half left, Lakeshore pulled the goalie but our girls worked hard and Lauren tapped in an empty net goal with help from Kiara and Sadie. The last minute saw a flurry of action in front of the Lakeshore goalie which resulted in Clara and Hailey each adding an insurance marker, with help from Hannah. A 5-1 win is a great way to lessen the pain of a long drive!!! Good job, girls and congrats to our two goalies, Mia and Carley, for an awesome start to the season!
