Game 2 for the Sommers Generator Systems Peewee A team was all they needed to finish off the St. Thomas Panthers and move on!
The game started a little slow for the Aces as the Panthers scored the first goal of the game. The girls regrouped and after a quick pep talk from the coaches between the first and second, came back and evened the score as Ashlyn sent one into the corner. The Panthers were not to be outdone and again, took the lead 2-1 before the end of the second. The third period started and Ashley capitalized on a scramble out front and took a great shot from the point which found an opening! 2-2! With just over three minutes left, Hailey broke free and put one over the goalie’s shoulder to put the Aces on top for the first time in the game! Haddie then sealed St. Thomas’s fate as she sent one last goal into the back of the net! The Aces win 4-2 and move on to the third and final round before Championship Weekend! 2 wins to go! Let's go Aces!!!
