Notes
The Perth Auto Dismantlers Atom A girls channeled the same courage, bravery and warrior spirit that breast cancer survivors and fighters have used in the ongoing battle against this fierce opponent, in the 9th Annual Etobicoke Pink The Rink tournament. The Whitby Wolves were certainly fierce, but the girls outplayed them to usher in their first victory in what will prove to be a fun and challenging weekend of hockey here at the tournament. The first and only goal, was scored by Emersyn Miller, assisted by defence, Avery Randall. Thanks to a solid 8 minutes in penalties, the win was secured by an incredible defensive unit, led by goal tender Grace Kipfer, who did everything but stand on her head to ensure the win and her shut out and also earned game MVP. The girls return to Scotiabank Pond to face off against the Brampton Canadettes today at 2:15. Submitted by: Holly Mortimer
