The Perth Auto Dismantler Atom "A" Aces finished
off their exhibition schedule with a game in Kitchener Saturday afternoon
against a tough Lady Rangers squad.
The Lady Rangers took a quick 3-0 lead 6 minutes into the game before a goal by Ella Taylor cut the lead to 3-1. Lila Mortimer assisted on the tally by Taylor.
Kitchener increased their lead to 4-1 early in the second period before back to back goals by the Aces suddenly had the Lady Rangers on their heels. Scoring was Mortimer, unassisted, and 3 minutes after that, Emerson Miller with the lone assist going to Mortimer.
The score stayed that way until early in the third when Kitchener scored, on what could be considered a slow whistle, during a goal mouth scramble. Stratford never recovered from the questionable call and Kitchener pulled away late in the third for a 7-3 victory.
The contest concluded exhibition play for the Perth Auto Dismantler Atom "A" Aces which saw them go 2-3-1. They begin their 22 game regular season schedule this coming Sunday, at home, against the Ilderton Jets.
