Aces Win Two Road Games
The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice B Aces played two games on Sunday, coming away with two big wins.

First up the Aces travelled to Waterloo to play their first game of the day. Both teams came out strong but Waterloo opened up the scoring. The Aces came right back though, scoring 8 seconds later. Emersyn Miller came down and took a shot on net and Eve Binns came flying in for the rebound, putting it into the back of the net. On the same shift the girls kept the pressure on and Miller scored to make it 2-1. Waterloo never let up though, and scored to tie it up 2-2. The second period had a lot of back and forth action and near the end of the period the Aces would put one in the back of the net to make it 3-2. Again, Miller took a shot on net but this time Emma Van Nes was there for the rebound. During the third Waterloo put a lot of pressure on the Aces, but they were able to clear the puck and Chloe Rison made a beautiful paddle save securing our win. Ace of the Game went to Hen Schultz and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Danielle Porter. These two trainers are so dedicated to the team, keep the girls in order and have fun while doing it. The girls are lucky to have you!

After a team lunch the girls headed to Cambridge to play their final game of the day. The girls were tired after a great game, but they came out and worked as a team, called for the puck and battled hard. With three minutes left in the first period, Miller scored from a Binns pass. During the second period each team had many opportunities, but no one could put on into the back of the net. At the beginning of the third period Cambridge scored to tie it up 1-1. The Aces wanted another win and never gave up. After a Cambridge penalty the Aces went on the power play and Miller took advantage of the opportunity and scored to make it 2-1. The Aces were able to hold Cambridge off, walking away with 2 wins in one day. Ace of the game went to Chloe Rison, for her great play all day and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Niamh Appel, for all of her hard work.
