Novice B Aces Book Ticket to Provincials
This past weekend the Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice B Aces finished their Provincial run, with two big games against the Huron heat. Two wins would guarantee the Aces a ticket to Provincials.

On Saturday March 3rd the Aces played the Huron Heat at home. The Aces opened up the scoring in the second period with a goal from Eve Binns and the assists going to Emersyn Miller and Keira Blain, but unfortunately the Heat would come right back, scoring within the next shift. The Heat would continue with the momentum into the third period, scoring to make it 2-1. Our girls wouldn’t go down without a fight. With four minutes left in the third, the Aces would tie the game up with another goal from Binns, the assist went to Miller. With the game ended in a 2-2 the Aces needed to win their next game by 3 in order to move onto Provincials.

On Sunday March 4th the Aces travelled to Blyth to play the Huron Heat. After the 2-2 tie on Saturday, the Aces needed to win by three in order to make it onto Provincials. The Aces came out hard, putting the pressure on right away. They would be rewarded for their hard work near the end of the first period when Emma Van Nes came down and got a shot off. The rebound came out to Jayda Houben who put the juicy fat rebound into the back of the net. In the second period, the girls would continue their hard work and pressure. Emersyn Miller would drive hard to the net, after another Van Nes shot, and put another rebound into the back of the net to make it 2-0. Two minutes later Miller would put another one in over the goalie from an angle. The third period would be a stressful one for the coaching staff, but the Aces continued to fly on the ice and play with so much heart. Due to all of their hard work, the Aces are off to Provincials in Toronto on April 6-8. Ace of the game went to Emma Van Nes and Defensive Ace of the Game went to Naimh Appel.
