Novice B Aces start Playdown Run
This past weekend the Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice B Aces started their provincial playdown run. In order to make it to Provincials the girls must first face both South Huron and Huron Heat. Up first was South Huron, who the girls are very familiar with.

On Saturday February 24th the Aces travelled to South Huron to play. The Stratford Aces came to play, controlling most of the play. The girls had many opportunities but couldn’t beat their goaltender. Unfortunately South Huron would sneak one past us, winning 1-0.

On Sunday February 25th the Aces got their second chance against South Huron. The girls didn’t let the loss get to them. They can out even harder, playing one of their best games all year. Emersyn Miller opened up the scoring with a nice wrist shot to the top hand corner, with the assist coming from Eve Binns. In the second period South Huron would tie it up at 1. After that the Aces had many scoring opportunities, but were able to capitalize. In the third period the Aces would continue to press hard and were rewarded with a goal. Miller would put another beautiful one in the back of the net from a Keira Blain pass. Ace of the game went to Krista McMahon and Defensive Ace of the game went to Eve Binns.
