The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice
B Aces finally played there first home game of the season earning a victory
against the Willmot Wolverines. In front of family and friends, the Aces came
out firing on all cylinders providing an exciting offensive game.
Jayda Houben, Emma Van Nes, and Emersyn Miller scored for the Aces with assists coming from Keira Blain, Teresa Schuster, Claire Donnelly and Linley Porter. Chloe Rison who turned away several attempts by the Wolverines provided the shut out. Defensive Ace of the Game went to Niamh Appel and Ace of the game was Chloe Rison.
On Sunday, the Novices were back on the road and played an exciting game in South Huron. Both teams played very physical hockey with momentum swinging both ways throughout the game. Unfortunately the Aces were on the losing side of the scoreboard but not because of effort and heart. Chloe Schultz and Eve Binns battled hard in the offensive end but couldn’t solve the Sabres goaltender. At the other end of the ice, Krista McMahon and Niamh Appel did what they could to stop the aggressive South Huron team. Jayda Houben found success crashing the net and gobbled up a juicy rebound scoring the only goal for the Aces. Ace of the game was Jayda Houben and Defensive Ace of the game went to Teresa Schuster.
