Aces capture 4 points on the weekend
The Stratford Egg Farmers of Ontario Atom A Aces ended their regular season with 2 away games and won both thrilling games.
On Saturday they traveled to Kitchener. After 2 scoreless periods the girls came out flying in the third period and a solid team effort was rewarded with 2 goals. Autumn Mikel and Alia Poirier had the goals while Addisyn Reinecker, Kiara McGregor and Sadie MacArthur earned assists. Mia Morris was once again solid in the net giving her another shutout and a 2-0 victory. On Sunday morning they headed to London to battle the Devilettes. These 2 teams always have a fast paced tough game and this was no different. Kiara McGregor's constant hustle and hockey savvy was rewarded with a hat trick with Shauna Everett assisting on her last empty net goal. Sienna Wildgust goaltending kept the score close and the Aces skated to a 3-1 win. Playoffs is next for these girls and they are well prepared for whatever challenge is put in front of them.
