Making a Statement Before Playoffs
As the Stratford Strickland's Toyota Atom C girls close out their regular season, they set out to defend home ice with two must win games this weekend.

On Saturday, the girls came out flying against Chatham scoring two goals in the first period. The first goal was scored by Clara Schuster with a little help from Nicole Hahn. Ella Smith kept the momentum going scoring the second goal. In the second period, Alexa Hahn and Emma Blowes provided a relentless assault on offence but couldn't capitalize on opportunities. The Chatham team picked up their efforts in the third period scoring a goal to keep the fans on the edge of their seat. Overall, the strong defensive efforts by Belle Houle, Hailey Scott and Lauren Dekok proved to be too much for the visiting team.

On Sunday, the Atom C’s were host to St. Marys and the girls played another exciting hockey game. Meg Feore, Meghan Bach and Brooklyn Chadwick exemplified teamwork providing exceptional play throughout the first period. The scoring was opened in the second period by Grace Glosnek with a highlight real breakaway goal. The second puck to find the back of the net was shot by Ella Smith who received a beautiful saucer pass from Lexi White. The final goal was hammered home by Lauren Martin with Avery Nickel providing the helping hands. Kiera Akey showcased her fifth shutout of the season.
