Peewee B's Take Silver in Milverton Tournament!
The  Vancea Financial sponsored Peewee B Aces team played Normanby in the Championship game of the Milverton tournament where they lost 5-3.

Normanby got quite a good start on the peewee's heading into the third period with a 3-0 lead.  Make no mistake though, our Stratford peewee's would not see this pattern continue.  Hard work in the third period produced our first goal of the game by Maia Moore assisted by Madison Webley-Bruce and Allison Zimmerman; Shayla Brookes scored with assists going to Zimmerman and Samantha McLeod.  With the gap closing, it was not long before Normanby scored once again to make it 4-2.  With just over a minute left, Normanby scored their 5th goal on an empty net.  The peewees would not give up - with 7 seconds left on the clock, Stratford's third goal of the game was scored by Logan Arnold assisted by Nicolle Crowley and Moore.  Goaltender, Megan Jesse, stood on her head throughout the entire game making numerous key saves.  The hard work of defensemen Carly Plain, Halle Blowes, Michaela Mckay, and Katelyn Berg was instrumental throughout the tournament in keeping the games close.
In previous action, the peewee's won the semi-final game against Blyth 1-0.  Arnold scored the lone goal assisted by Plain and Crowley.  Tasia Reynen made some stellar saves helping Stratford clinch the win.
During divisional play, Stratford won 1-0 against Milverton with Crowley putting one in the net assisted by Kiana Lauze. Jesse picked up the win in net; Stratford won 7-0 against Mitchell with goals going to Crowley with two, Zimmerman, Lauze, Webley-Bruce, McKay, and Madison McNab all with one goal. Reynen picked up the shutout. Stratford lost first divisional game to Normanby 3-2 with goals going to Arnold assisted by Lauze, and Plain assisted by Moore. Jesse was solid in net.
"Great Job" to the entire team for working hard throughout the entire tournament!
